A list per shop, or per anything
Keep separate lists and choose who sees each one: everybody, a few people, or just you. Items carry a quantity, a note, an assignee and a star for the things that matter.
Sorted by where you are
Tag an item with the shops that sell it — up to five — and filter the list down to the one you have walked into.
The things you always run out of
Put an item on a restock rhythm — daily, every couple of days, weekly, or any interval up to a year — and it comes back on its own after you tick it off.
Photos, without the metadata
Add a photo so nobody buys the wrong one. The picture is stripped of its location and camera metadata and re-encoded on your phone, before it is uploaded.
Tell the kitchen speaker
With an Amazon Alexa device linked, you can add one item by name out loud. That is the whole of it — Kin does not read the list back, take quantities, or remove items by voice.
